2 new HSC examination centres in Sylhet board

58The Sylhet Education Board (SEB) has added 2 new HSC examination centers this year in a bid to smoothly hold the exams. With these additions, a total of 75 centers under the Sylhet board are now ready for holding the HSC examinations scheduled to begin on April 1.

Controler of Sylhet Education Board,Abdul Mannan said they have set up the new examination centers considering the distance students must travel to attend the HSC examinations. The possibility of adverse weather conditions including storm have also been taken into consideration while selecting and setting up these centres, he added.

“All preparations to hold the SSC exams have already completed and the question papers have been sent to the district and Upazila administration. Strong monitoring has been put in place with the help of district administration and law enforcing agencies to prevent any copying or question paper leak,” said the SEB chairman.

Vigilance teams will remain full time at these new examination centers on the first day to observe the situation. If any mismanagement takes place at any centre, it will be cancelled, he added.

According the Sylhet Education Board sources, a total of 58063 students including 26831 male and 31232 female candidates from 234 colleges under the board are going to sit for this year’s HSC examinations under the education board. All preparations have been taken to conduct the examination in a proper and peaceful environment.
