Enam Ali MBE wins the NRB Person of the Year

37Founder of British Curry Awards Enam Ali MBE has won the Non Resident Bangladeshi Person of the Year award by reader’s vote and judgement of selection committee panel.  First Secretary of Bangladesh High Commission in London Mohammod Monirul Kabir declared his name as the NRB person of the Year 2014 in an event held in Montefiore Centre in East London.
The bi-lingual Millennium magazine, publishes from the UK has also published a list of distinguished ten NRB Bangladeshis across the world.   Members who took place in this list included Dr Nina Ahmed, Advisor of the President of Barrack Obama on Asia and the Pacific; British-Bangladeshi Author Zia Haidar Rahman; Japanese Model Rola; Vice President of Old Domenian University Dr Ataul Karim; Graphics Designer Nashit Jaman; MS Ireland 2014 winner Maksuda Prioty; Bangladeshi born British entrepreneur Iqbal Ahmed OBE; American Stand Up Comedy host Alauddin Ullah and Greater London Assembly member Murad Qureshi.
Millenium Editor Mahbub Hossain, Ansar Ahmed Ullah, Matiar Chowdhury, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed,  Farida Beg, Saeem Chowdhury and Syed Mahathir Pasha were in the selection committee from the UK.  Tohur Ahmed Chowdhury, Shamshad Husham and Abu Liakoth took part from USA, Saki Hossain from Germany, Rup Chand Dash Rupok from Spain and Ataullah Saker and Saeed Chowdury took part from Bangldesh.
The First Secretary Monirul Islam Kabir and Channel I Europe’s Managing Director Reja Ahmed Foysol Chowdhury Shoen unveiled the NRB edition of Millennium at the event.
Millenium Editor M Mahbub Hossain presieded over the NRB Person of the Year event and cultural activist Shamima Begum Mita conducted it.
