Veteran actor Razzak now out of danger

40The health condition of veteran Bangla film star Nayakraj Razzak has improved and he is now out of danger, doctors said. He has been admitted to United Hospital since Friday night.

The renowned film actor is under treatment of heart disease specialist Dr Adnan Yusuf Chowdhury at United Hospital. He said that Razzak is now out of danger, banglanews reports.

Earlier, he was admitted to the hospital on June 26 with respiratory problem and later, shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital as his condition deteriorated.

Then, Razzak has been on life support after complaining with breathing problem.

The actor’s younger son Samrat confirmed the matter.

Razzak was born on January 23 in 1942 at Nagtola in Taliganj of Kolkata. He is referred to as Nayak Raj Razzak.

Razzak’s major breakthrough in movies was his performance in Salahuddin’s Tero Nombor Feku Ostagar Lane.

He acted in other movies like ‘Neel Akasher Nichey’, ‘Maynamati’, ‘Moner Moto Bou’, ‘Swaralipi’, ‘Osru Diye Likha’, ‘Jibon Theke Neya’ and ‘Obujh Mon’.

The renowned actor also honored with 2014 Independence Award and Bangladesh government honor him lifetime achievement award for his contribution in Bangladesh Films.

Razzak was elected goodwill ambassador of UNICEF as a first Bangladeshi film artiste. He was also the founding president of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association.
