Eid message from the Mayor of Tower Hamlets

Marking the festival of Eid ul-Fitr and the end of Ramadan, Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets John Biggs said:

“On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I send my warm wishes to all residents, particularly to Muslims in Tower Hamlets and the UK.

“It is a day for everyone to come together and celebrate.

“As we enjoy this day which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I hope that the festival with its tradition of giving and sharing enriches our lives.

“I hope it may reinforce the borough’s commitment to mutual harmony and strengthen the bond of peace and unity.

“As Mayor, I will work to support faith communities as they are one of the key foundations of a strong community.
