2 gunned down in Sylhet rival clash

22Two people were killed in a rival clash between the two groups of villagers in taking control over a disputed Beel (Land) in Sylhet’s Companiganj area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Khaleque, 50, and Sheikh Farid, 48, of Batumara village in Companiganj.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Companiganj police station confirmed the matter. He told that two people found dead when the opposition opened fired during the clash.
The body of Sheikh Farid has been taken by the opposition. Police recovered the body of Abdul Khaleque and they are trying to recover the body of Sheikh Farid, the OC added.
