JMG Cargo celebrates 13th Anniversary

JMG Cargo organised a gathering and award giving ceremony at Royal Regency community centre on the 9th of November to celebrate its 13th anniversary. Dignitaries, businessmen, politicians, media personalities, BIMAN officials and the representatives of JMG Cargo from all over the UK attended the event. The glittering event was jointly conducted by popular television presenters Urmi Mazhar and Farhan Masood Khan.

Chief Guest of the event was Air Martial (rtd) Jamal Uddin Ahammed, who is the Chairman of the board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. While addressing the event, Mr Ahammed said that JMG Cargo is contributing significantly in promoting the benefit of the cargo business run by BIMAN. He recognised the popularity of JMG Cargo by appreciating the event’s success.

In his speech, Managing Director of JMG Cargo Mr Monir Ahmed said that credit goes to the agents, customers and British-Bangladeshi community for the success of JMG Cargo. He remembered the contributions of BIMAN and local Bengali media towards making JMG a successful venture.

Country Manager of BIMAN Md. Shafiqul Islam and executive mayor of Tower Hamlets Council Mr John Biggs were present in the event as special guests. Mr. Shafiul Islam said JMG Cargo is offering excellent service to its customers. JMG delivers 75% of the cargo goods in London-Bangladesh route through BIMAN, he remembered in his speech. Mayor John Biggs said he was proud to learn that JMG Cargo started its journey from Tower Hamlets area. He appreciated that JMG Cargo is serving the community through its service and creating employment.

Most successful JMG representatives were awarded in five categories in the event. Invited guests distributed Outstanding Sales Achievement Award, Best Sales Achievement Award, Best Newcomer Award, Special Recognition and Sales Award for Europe, Special Recognition and Sales Award among the winners. In a video message, Bethnal Green and Bow MP Rushanara Ali expressed her gratitude to JMG Cargo for all its good work and services to her constituents. Journalist Enam Chowdhury recited verses from the holy Quran at the opening of the event.
