Bangla Shur celebrated the English New Year

49North London’s renowned cultural and community organisation Bangla Shur organised a lively discussion and cultural performance to celebrate the English New Year 2016.  The celebration took place on 11th January in Surma Centre in East London.
Co-ordinator of Bangla Shur Syed Rafiqul Islam Sohel presided over the meeting and Sheikh and Drama Activist Iqbal Bahar jointly conducted it.
Mayor Councillor of Camden Council Lauren Rebah addressed the audience as Chief Guest in the event.  Special Guest who addressed the audience in the meeting included Leader Councillor Nasim Ali OBE, Cllr Shomota Khatun, Chairman of Surma Centre Abdus Samad, Cllr Rahima Rahman and others.
Members of the organisation who helped to organise the event included Poet Kajal Rashid, Khairul Islam Rob Mukul, Ziaul Haque Chowdhury Jewel, Mohidur Rahman, Hena Begum, Najmul Islam, Sheikh Momota Begum.
Artists Hashi Rani, Shefali, Amit, Sohel and others performed which was hugely cheered by the audience.
