2 schoolgirls die from ‘food poising’ in Sylhet

37Two schoolgirls were believed to have died from food poisoning in Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Imrana, 15, of Dhalkirai village, and Roshna, 14, of Purbalaxmi Prashad village in Kanaighat upazila. They were students of Durgapur High School in the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Jaintapur Model Police Station Safiul Kabir said the two girls took mango juice while going to Chatul from Darbost by an auto-rickshaw around 11am.
However, they fell sick one after another inside the three-wheeler.
They were taken to Jaintapur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead.
Police suspected that the victims might have died due to food poisoning.
