A 10-day long cultural festival titled ‘Bengal Sanskriti Utsab’ begin in Abul Mal Abdul Muhit Krira Complex in Sylhet city on Thursday. Finance Minister AMA Muhit, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Nur and Bengal Foundation Chairman Abul Khair Formally Inaugurate The programme.
In the Inaugural Ceremony Chief guest Finance Minister AMA Muhit said, Government try to expand cultural Programme He Said our next generation Must match with Begali culture. He give thanks to Bengal Foundation to arrange this programme out side Dhaka. Special Guest Asaduzzaman Nur Said, We never want Bangladesh as a state of demon. We want this country as place of humanity.

In art camp India, Nepal and other countries artist take part with their bengladeshi counterpart. Daily the programme continue from noon to midnight. Only 24 and 26th February it will start on 10 AM. Bengal start this ventare at first time to any divisional City to enrich our culture. The progrmme dedicated to scholar Abdur Razzak.
The Programme Organized by Bengal Foundation, this cultural festival has been organized to represent and preserve the historical flow of Bengali culture as well as to showcase diverse feature of contemporary life of the general people of Sylhet. The festival will commemorate the diversity and exquisiteness of Bengali culture through music, exhibition, theatre, literary conference, craft fair and film screening.
Bengal Foundation is organizing this festival with the cooperation of Dhaka Bank Limited and the media partner will be Channel i. The organizers said the festival will take place at different venues of the complex named after prominent figures like Hason Raja, Shah Abdul Karim, Syed Muztaba Ali and Radha Raman Dutt.
This festival will feature a number of 383 national artists including musicians, dancers, painters, writers, poets. Among painters, 27 noted painters like Rafiqun Nabi, Rokeya Sultana, Shishir Bhattacharjee, will participate in the Subir Chowdhury Art Camp throughout the festival. A total number of 50 prominent national and international writers will also be present. Besides, 23 other writers from India and two from Nepal will join in at the literary fest which will begin on February 24.
Among other programs, there will be special film screening show including ‘Television’, ‘Anil Bagchir Ekdin’, ‘Runway’, ‘Titas Ekti Nadir Naam’, ‘Meghmollar’. A total of 14 movies have been scheduled to be screened throughout the festival. Four theatre productions by prominent troupes like Subachan, Theatre Art Unit, Loko Natyadal and Manipuri Theatre will be staged. Also, there will be a handicraft fair featuring famous handiwork of 10 different districts of the country. A book fair will be held as well which will run throughout the festival. The festival will run till March 3.
