BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “BNP wants to cooperate with the government on the Rohingya issue. Let’s solve the Rohingya problem through national unity, without interfering with each other.
“At a press conference at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan on Sunday, Mirza Fakhrul said these things. BNP secretary general said, ‘We did not divide. Do not want division.
We want to cooperate with the government. The government should immediately put pressure on the government of Myanmar and discuss all political parties.
Meanwhile, BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas has demanded to deploy the army to distribute relief and rehabilitation among the Rohingyas.
He is the convener of the BNP organized relief team to help Rohingya. He said Cox’s Bazar under his leadership on relief from the party but the administration did not allow him to reach the Rohingya to deliver disciplined relief.
BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Mir Sarafat Ali Soupu, Shahidul Islam Babul and Abul Bashar were also present at the press conference.
