Consumers’ rights protection department has imposed a fine of Tk 14,000 on two shops for the use of chemicals in Jhenidah and keeping pharmaceuticals in pharmacy.
On Wednesday noon, Suchandan Mondal, Assistant Director of National Consumer Protection Department, district office, conducted the drive.
It is known that on the basis of secret information, the operation of the Directorate of Consumer Protection has been conducted at different places of Sadar upazila on Wednesday noon.
At this time, a fine of Tk 8,000 was given to Mother of Goalpara Bazar of the Goalpara Bazar and Tk 6,000 for the expired medicine and injection of Jummon Pharmacy in Madhupur Bazar. District Sanitary Inspector Abul Hashem, Sadar Upazila Sanitary Inspector Narayan Chandra Biswas attended the drive.
