In order to achieve sustainable development in Jhenaidah, an annual workshop was held in the private sector to develop investment plans and entrepreneurship and skill development.
The workshop was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Zakir Hossain was present as the chief guest while Additional District Administrator of Jhenaidah (Global) Asaduzzaman chaired the meeting.
Local government’s Deputy Director Abu Yusuf Md Rezaur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Khodeja Khatun, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Dr. Kaniz Hossain Jahan, Civil Surgeon Dr Rasheda Sultana.
At the time doctors, teachers, student journalists, civil society, government and non-government officials were present.
During this time, the speakers discussed investment planning and entrepreneurship and skill development in the private sector to achieve sustainable development goals.
In addition, participants discuss the problems of implementing 17 points for achieving sustainable development, solving problems and doing future tasks.
It is to be noted that, in the 70th session of the United Nations on 25 September 2015, 17 indicators were set to achieve ‘sustainable development target’ between 2030.
