BCA to demonstrate in front of British Parliament for legalisation of undocumented skilled workers

Bangladesh Caterers Association (BCA) is to organise a demonstration and meeting with MPs on 10th of July in front of British Parliament demanding to reinstate work permit scheme  and legalisation of skilled workers who does not have legal documentations. To make the demonstration successful BCA recently organised a networking meeting in a restaurant at Stanford in Essex, which was organised by BCA Essex region.

Vice-president of BCA Jamal Uddin Mokddus presided over the meeting and Press Secretary Forhad Hossain Tipu and Joint Secretary of Essex region Saleh Ahmed jointly conducted it.  Senior Caterer Shoebur Rahman contributed to the meeting where as President Kamal Yakub addressed the audience as Chief Guest,

The speakers said that They will demand the lower the high wages threshold for bringing in skilled chef and staff, to legalise all undocumented workers, lowering the VAT and stopping frequent raids in restaurants.

Special guest who addressed the audience included former Mayor Cllr Parvez Ahmed, Treasurer of BCA Saidur Rahman Bipul, Senior Vice-president Mujahid Chowdhury, Membership Secretary Saiful Alam, Senior Vice-president Syed Hasan Ahmed, Assistant Vice-president Nazam Uddin Nazrul, Tresurer of Essex region Altaf Hossain, Vice-president Shah Ashraf Hossain Mukul, Abdul Haque, Organising Secretary Afjol Hossain, Membership Secretry Abdul Sofan, Press Secretary Anwar Hossin Murad, Senior Catere Siraj Ali, Sheikh Abdul Khalique, Siddiqur Rahman Joynal, Systa Miah, Nafi Ahmed Chowdhury Abdul Hannan and others.

The speakers also called on every menbers of the catering industry to join the demonstration and make it successful.
