Hundreds of people gather in London to express their solidarity with Nirapod Shorok Movement

UK living Bangladeshi expats has expressed their solidarity with the current people’s and student’s movement for safer roads in Bangladesh.  Nearly five hundred children and students gathered in Altab Ali Park to show their solidarity with the pupils and students of Bangladesh.  The protestors urged the government to accept the nine point demands of the students and formed a human chain.  Young students from all over the UK took part in the human chain along with hundreds of other people.  They also carried banners and placards depicting the slogan of safer roads in Bangladesh. The pupils and students who took part in the gathering denounced the government for its torture and harassments of the protesting students in Bangladesh.

The protest gathering was jointly conducted by Founder of Bangladeshi Students Association Barrister Sharif Haider and Founder of Let Voice Be Heard Shakur.

Former Professor of Dhaka University and University of Wales Dr K M Malek, former senate member of Dhaka University Nasrul Hamid Junaed, leaders of Let the Voice Be Heard Tareq Chowdhury, Selim Mahmud and Ataur Rahman, Gazi Asha of Vikarunnessa  Noon School and College Alumni, Saida Tumpa of UK Bengali Diva, Tahmina Hasan, Shohid Nishu Hasan, Manju Ara Manju, Student Representative from Queen Mary University Bengali Society, Rashekh of University of Cambridge Bangladeshi Society, Chair of London Young Labour Marx Burner, Councillors of Tower Hamlets Council Ehtashem Haque and Sabina Akhtar, Socialist Party leaders Liza Roy and Edgar, President of Jagroto Bangladesh Waki Abdullah, representative from Residential Model College Students Alumni, Mahbubur Rahman, Ahmed Fuad, Jamil Bhuyan, Abdul Alim Musa, Selim Mahmud, Ataur Rahman, Yahiya, Jacky, Ahmed, Muslima Esah, Fuad and other addressed the people at the gathering.
