35 shops gutted in Bhola fire

 

The fire broke out from an electric short circuit at ‘Amir Workshop’ around 9:18am and engulfed adjoining shops numbering around 35 including two electronics showrooms, three electric shops, three mobile showrooms and two hardware shops, said Md Jakir Hossain, deputy assistant director of Bhola Fire Service and Civil Defence. 

On information, six fire-fighting units from Sadar, Burhanuddin, Lalmohan and Char Fassion rushed in and doused the fire after two hours of frantic efforts.

 

The victims claimed that the loss caused by the fire was estimated Tk 6-7 crore.
