Mohibul Hasan said, “Government will start combined entrance tests for admission to universities like the admission process of class XI soon. This will reduce sufferingsof the candidates and their guardians a lot. It will also bring transparency in the process of admission to public universities.”Mentioning a progress in theprocess of combined entrance tests, Mohibul Hasan also added, “Government has a plan to implement the process by next year.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has already drafted a report on the process after the authorities of education ministry arranged meeting with UGC. The authorities of education will arrange meeting with public universities’ vice-chancellors soon, he informed.
Mohibul Hasan said, “We want to start the process after we discuss the issue thoroughly with public universities authorities.”
He also stressed that no regulation will be imposed forcedly on public universities.
“People of the country want this (combined entrance tests for admission to universities). So we will start the process through proper discussion with the university authorities. It is also our political commitment to the people. No hindrance to this process will be accepted,” Mohibul Hasan added.
