London, 12 July 2019:
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Md. Shahriar Alam, MP met External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar on 10 July 2019 at the sidelines of the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting at Marlborough House in London on 10 July. This has been the first Ministerial level meeting with Bangladesh since the appointment of Jaishankar. Expressing satisfaction at the excellent bilateral relations between the two South Asian neighbours, the two Ministers discussed about the upcoming visit of Indian External Affairs Minister to Bangladesh and also bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest. Bangladesh High Commissioner H.E. Saida Muna Tasneem and Indian High Commissioner to the UK H.E. Mrs Ruchi Ghanashyam were also present at the meeting.
Hon’ble State Minister and Indian External Affairs Minister are now in London to attend the special Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers meeting (CFAMM).
