Country’s leading cultural organisation Chhayanaut arranged cultural event to pay tribute to the Noble laureate litterateur and poet Rabindranath Tagore, on his 78th death anniversary at its Dhanmondi auditorium on Tuesday evening.
The event featured performances on Tagore’s popular poems and songs- as well as dance recitals.
Cultural group Kanthashilan’s performers staged a production comprising Tagore’s essays and songs, named ‘Ami Tomay Chharbo Na Maa’. They also performed a verse-play named ‘Karnakuntee Shangbad’.
Artistes of Chhayanaut staged Tagore’s musical drama ‘Shyma’ on the event.
To commemorate Tagore’s wonderful creations, Chhayanaut arranges praiseworthy events every year marking the legendary poet’s death anniversary.
