Two Bangladeshi citizens were shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Aspergo in Athens, the capital of Greece.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Momin, 40, son of Abdul Razzaq and Shahin Mia, 25, son of Nur Hossain, both of them were residents in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj of Sylhet.
Motabbir Hossain, joint general secretary of the Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed the information.
Greek police recovered the bullet-riddled bodies of the two around 11 am (local time) on Tuesday.
He said that the miscreants shot one person in the head and another in the neck on Monday night. On Tuesday morning, locals spotted the two bodies and informed the police.
The Greek police are investigating the matter and the process is underway to send these bodies to Bangladesh, he added.
