Youth commits suicide in Habiganj

A youth allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at Lukra village under Sadar upazila last night. The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam, 17, son of Sirajul Islam of the same area. Police said Nazrul took poison for unknown reason and became sick. Nazrul was admitted to Sadar Adhunik Hospital where he died midnight.

Woman crashed under train in Habiganj

A woman was crashed under wheels of a local train at Harespur area in Madhabpur upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Rahima Khatun, 25, daughter of Alai Miah of Jamalpur village of the upazila. Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue.
