Jatiyatabadi Sechchasebak Dal, the volunteers’ wing of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), called a daylong hartal in Sylhet district for Saturday protesting police firing on the party’s procession on Thursday and arresting their three leaders and activists.
