Man to die for killing wife

A court in Sylhet sentenced a man to death for killing his wife Wednesday.

After investigating the case, Moynul Islam, district and session judge of Sylhet court sentenced him to death and fined him Tk 10,000. According to the prosecution, convicted husband Monsur Ali of Khittah Jalalpur village in Balagonj upazila strangled his wife Rotna Akhtar to death over family feud on 2013.

Later, Kotu Miah, father of the deceased filed a murder case accusing Monsur and his brother with Balagonj police station in this connection.
