The annual general meeting of West London Bangladesh Welfare Association UK was held in a
restaurant in South Harrow on 22 February. The meeting was presided over by community leader
Sheikh Yaor and conducted by Shohidul Islam.In the beginning, the speakers focused on the importance of International Mother Language Day. In
his speech, former councillor Selim Chowdhury said that people of the world will remember the sacrifice of Bangladeshi people who gave their lives for the recognition of their language. He has also urged to everyone to work together to establish Bengali as the official language of United
