From now on international airlines will be making a stopover at M A G Osmani Int Airport in Sylhet.
Sources said that an aircraft of ‘fly dubai’ with 132 passengers on board landed at Osmani Airport around 5:20pm on Wednesday for refueling.
Later, it departed the airport at 6:00pm with 160 people on board. Through this flight services began at the airport.
Though it was declared as an International Airport in 1998, due to shotage of fuel supply it could not be used by the international flights for the years, said Hafiz Ahmed aviation manager of the airport.
