Iqra International’s Swansea Charity Fund Raising event has raised 25,000 pounds for the disable patients of Sylhet. The fund raising event took place in Party Pavilion near Prithi Raaj Restaurant in Swansea. Many non-Bangladeshi Muslim residents of Swansea took part in the charity event along with numerous numbers of Bangladeshis. Local residents took this as a humanitarian responsibility and came forward to help.
Presenter of Islam Channel Rahim Jung conducted the fund raising event. Guests who addressed the audience included Iqra International’s Chairman Abdul Haque Habib, Manager Rafique Ahmed, Aminur Rahman, Hafeez Maulana Yunus, Chair of fund raising event Dr Abdul Rahman, former Secretary and Trustee Mahmood Bin Sayeed, Party Pavilion’s Partner Mahboob Noor and others.
The speakers called on everyone to come forward and join the charity activities run by Iqra to help the disabled people of Sylhet. Local Charity organisation Swansea Donates supported this fund raising event.
Prominent Islamic Nasheed singer Foysal Saleh sang Nasheeds along with many other Local Nasheed singers.
Iqra Acacdemy is building Iqra Academy in Sylhet with help and donations raised from the expats to help the poor and helpless disable people of Sylhet.
