Ananta Murder in Sylhet : Photojournalist sent to jail

A Sylhet court has ordered photojournalist Idris Ali to be sent to jail in blogger Ananta Bijoy Das murder case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Yasmin issued the order after Investigation Officer (IO) CID Inspector Arman Ali produced him before the court on Monday afternoon following his seven-day remand.
Idris Ali, a photojournalist of The ‘Daily Shobuj Sylhet’, a local newspaper, was taken on seven-day remand on June 8. Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was investigating the information provided by Idris, sources concerned said. Ananta was hacked to death by men armed with machetes at Subidbazar area in Sylhet on May 12.
Ananta’s elder brother Ratneshwar Das filed a case in this regard the same night.
