Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury returns from Congo

A delegation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Defense In cluding Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury returned home from Congo this morning.

The member of the team Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury thanked the Prime Minister for giving a chance to observe the activities of Bangladesh Armed Forces in UN Peacekeeping Mission in Congo.

Terming the visit a success, he said it will have a positive impact on the minds of the members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces and the Police Force.

They also discussed with the high level representatives of Congo which would be helpful to strengthen friendly relation between the two countries, an ISPR press release said.

Bangladeshi Peacekeepers have been performing their responsibility very smoothly and the local people are welcoming their activities, Mahmud said.

He said a press conference on the visit will be held in the Media Center of Parliament Plaza at 3pm on August 4, where he will highlight details of the tour.
