Housewife ‘commits suicide’ in Sylhet

A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Nunchhora village in Kanaighat upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Hajira Begum, 25, wife of Jahir Uddin, a resident of the village.
Locals said Hajira killed herself by hanging from a beam in the ceiling of the house in the morning.
On information, police recovered the body around 2pm and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Kamal Uddin, a sub-inspector of Kanaighat Police Station, confirmed the incident.
