Man killed over land dispute in Sylhet

A man was beaten to death allegedly by his rivals over a land dispute at Pariyabohor village in Biani bazar upazila of Sylhet on tuesday.
The deceased, Shorif, 22, son of late Atab Ali of the village,
Quoting locals, police said there had been a longstanding rivalry between Atab Ali and his neighbour over the ownership of a piece of land.
Both locked in an altercation over the issue around 9:00pm. At one stage, neighbour beat Shorif.
Being informed, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
