On Sunday, the police submitted chargesheet against 13 people in the case where a teenage boy Rajon was mercilessly beaten to death in Sylhet.
One and a half month after the incident, the Inspector of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Detective Branch, Suranjit Talukder submitted the chargesheet to the Metropolitan Magistrate Court-1.
ADC Rahmatullah of Sylhet Metropolitan Police confirmed the submission of the charge sheet.
On July 8, Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon was beaten to death in Sylhet’s Kumargaon by some men who accused him of stealing a van. The perpetrators then uploaded the video of the brutal incident on social media which created immense outrage among people in general.
The boy’s body bore as many as 64 injury marks according to the autopsy report.
