Man killed in city road crash

A man was killed as he was run over by a Truck in the Surma Market area on Monday Night.
The victim was identified as Shahed Miha, 35, a resident of  rofinogor UP Under Dirai Upazilla in Sunamgong.
Police, quoting witnesses, said Shahed Miha was crossing the road at Surma Market area around 2:30 pm when the Truck crashed into him, leaving him injured badly.
A team of Kotwali Police Station, led by its assistant sub-inspector Nojrul Islam, took the victim to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital (SOMCH) where he was pronounced dead around 3pm.
The body has been kept at the SOMCH morgue for autopsy.
