Shibir activist held in Sylhet

Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Lamakaji Bazar area in Bishwanath upazila of Sylhet district on Monday night.
The arrestee was identified as Selim Ahmad,25, son of late Ilias Ali of Keshabpur village of the upazila, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Bishwanath Police Station Rafiqul Hossain said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Selim at about 9:00 pm.
The arrestee was wanted in three cases for subversive activities, including torching vehicles and hurling petrol bombs, with Bishwanath Police Station.
