Indian bidi worth Tk0.33m seized in Sylhet

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in a drive seized 0.21 million pieces of Indian bidi of ‘Nasir Group’ and an engine-run boat at Asam Para village in Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet on Thursday.  Acting on secret information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area and seized the Indian bidi worth Tk0.33 million and an engine-run boat from a water body in the early hours of Thursday. However, none was arrested in this connection as the smugglers managed to flee away sensing the presence of the border guards .
