Jamaat leader held

Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Sadar upazila of Sylhet District on Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Principal Golam Azam.
Akther Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police launched a raid on a house in the area and arrested Principal Golam Azam However, their other associates fled the scene sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
The arrestees were wanted in several cases including for arson attack and subversive activities, the OC added.
A case was filed in this connection.
