4 held with Yaba tablets in Sylhet

Law enforcers in a drive arrested four young men in possession of 400 pieces of Yaba tablets from Emidpur area on the Biswanath-Rashidpur road in Biswanath upazila on Monday night.
The arrestees were identified as Jahirul Haque, 25, son of Lifai Ullah of Kasba village in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj district; Mamun Miah,22, son of Siraj Bhandari of Sherpur village in Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar; Rajib Miah,21, son of Afzal Miah of Jalalpur village in Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj, and Tipu Miah,26, son of Nur Miah of Baksipur village under Osmaninagar thana of Sylhet city.
Officer-in-charge of Bisanath Police Station Rafiqul Hossain said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the four at about 9:30 pm.
Later, the law enforcers also recovered 400 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possession.
A case was filed in this connection.
