3 held with 1,000 Yaba in Sylhet

Detectives in a drive arrested three men along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from a community centre of Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet district on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Niloy Chakma, 28, son of Satao Chakma, Jibon Chakma, 20, son of Mong Chakma, a resident of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar district, and Samchhu Miah, 40, son of Solim Miah, a resident of Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district.
Being tipped off, a team of Detective Branch of Police led by officer-in-charge SM Al-Mamun and sub-inspector Moshiur Rahman conducted a raid at “Ma Lucky Community Centre” in the upazila headquarters and arrested them along with the Yaba tablets in the afternoon. Later DB briefed journalists about the arrest at a press conference around 8:30pm, according to a news agency.
