Cabinet condoles Minister Mohsin Ali’s death

The Cabinet on Monday adopted a condolence motion expressing deep shock and sorrow at the death of Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali.

The Social Welfare Minister died at Singapore General Hospital in the morning at the age of 67.

The condolence motion was adopted at the regular weekly meeting of the Cabinet held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, UNB reports.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hussain Bhuiyan said the Cabinet observed a one-minute silence to show respect to the veteran freedom fighter, an elected lawmaker from Moulvibazar-3 constituency.

The Cabinet members prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed their sympathies to his bereaved family members.
