Heath official killed in Sylhet road accident

An health official was killed as a human hauler (Leguna) hit his motorcycle in Jakiganj municipality area in Sylhet district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Bidhan Chandra Pal, 52, assistant health inspector and a resident of Barochalia village of the upazila.
Locals said a speeding human hauler knocked down the motorcycle Bidhan was riding in the area while he was coming to Jakiganj in the afternoon, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to Jakiganj upazila health complex from where he was shifted to Sylhet Osmani Medical Collage (OMCH). Later, he succumbed to his injures at the hospital at about 8:00 pm. Bidhan’s body was handed over to his family after an autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
