Main Eid congregation at National Eidgah

The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha, the largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises at 8:00am on the Eid day.

However, the venue of the main jamaat will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in case of inclement weather, UNB reports.

The decision was taken a meeting of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on the preparation of Eid-ul-Azha. The meeting was presided over ty DSCC mayor Sayeed Khokon.

The law enforcement agencies will remain alert during the Eid congregations to fend off any untoward incident.

The DSCC asked the officials to take necessary steps to remove waste and leftovers of sacrificial animals and clean the city as soon as possible after the slaughtering.

High officials of Home Ministry, Religious Affairs Ministry and the Islamic Foundation were present at the meeting.
