Return tickets for train goes on sale tomorrow

Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance return tickets for the convenience of Dhaka-bound passengers on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha from tomorrow (Wednesday).

“Keeping their (homebound passengers) safe return in mind, the railways authority will sell return tickets in advance for the post-Eid time at some important rail stations including Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur, and Lalmonirhat,” a railway source told BSS here today, BSS reports.

He said return tickets for the journey of September 27 will be sold on September 23, tickets for September 28 will be available on September 24, tickets for September 29 and 30 will be supplied on September 26, and return tickets for October 1 will be given on September 27.

The official said each passenger will be allowed to procure maximum four tickets and tickets sold earlier will not be returned.

He also added advance tickets will be sold every day from 9 am.

Special train services like Solakia Express also will be operated on Bhairab-Kishorganj-Bhairab route and Mymensingh-Kishorganj-Mymensingh route on Eid day.
