Girl gang-raped in Chatak, 1 arrested

An 16-year-old girl has been gang-raped by her neighbour in Hasampur area under Chatak upazila in Sunamganj.
Police detained One of the alleged culprits, Burhan Uddin, 26, hailed from Hasampur area of the Chatak area on Saturday afternoon.
Ashek Suja mamun also the in-charge of Chatak police Station, said the victim filed a complaint with the station on Wednesday accusing her neighbour Burhan Uddin and of his associates.
They were sent to jail through court in the afternoon.
The case says the girl lived with her widowed mother in the Hasampur area. On October 2, neighbour Burhan Uddin and of his associates gang-raped her and recorded the incident.
