Prime accused in rape case arrested in Sylhet

Kotwali thana police in a drive arrested the prime accused in a rape case from Medical Road area in the city on Tuesday night.
The arrested was identified as Saddam Hossain, 35, son of Amir Ali of Uttarkul village of Habiganj district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Sohel Hossain said that Saddam was arrested from the area around 11:00pm.
Earlier on August 25, a gang rape case was filed with Kotwali Police Station while Saddam was mentioned as the prime accused.
