BMX bikers and skateboarding enthusiasts put on a fantastic display of stunts, flips and air tricks
at the Urban Wheelers Jam in Victoria Park on 6 April.
The fun day attracted more than 200 residents and was organised by Tower Hamlets Council
during the Easter break to encourage more young people to get active.
Victoria Park boasts of the only second full cradle in the UK, which attracts wheelers from far and
wide.
Free activities on the day included professional skateboarding lessons, Rolapoloza, smoothie
bikes, an urban climbing wall, street dance workshop and a live graffiti wall.
Hayley Newman, mum of two said: “We love all the different events that happen in Victoria Park
and this one was really interactive for my two boys.”
“They’re already looking forward to seeing what exciting things Vicky has in store for the
summer”.
