18 rebel candidates expelled Sylhet AL

22Local Awami League (AL) has expelled a total of its 18 rebel candidates for contesting the Union Parishad (UP) election against the party decision in Sylhet.
Joint-Office Secretary of district AL Zaglu Choudhury signed a press release in this connection on Monday.
Nine candidates were expelled in Jakiganj upazila while eight in Beanibazar and one in Goainghat.
The expelled leaders were identified as Saleh Ahmad of Biroshi union, Abdul Gaffar and Masuk Ahmed of Kholachhora, Jahirul Haque, Atikul Islam Moni and Abdul Gafur of Kajalsar, Rafiqul Islam of Sultanpur, Jamal Uddin of Barthakur and Altaf Uddin Laskar of Kaskanpur, all are in Jakiganj upazila while Nazim Uddin of Dubagbazar, Tutiur Rahman Tota of Kurarbazar, Ohidur Reza Masum and Abdul Hasib of Muriya, Islam Uddin of Tilpara, Abdul Kadir and Zakaria Ahmed of Mollahpur and Gose Uddin of Lauta, all are in Beanibazar and Yakub Ali of Doubari union of Goainghat.
