The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is building its own prison cell to keep the accused in the corruption case. Its activities will be launched soon. At the same time, the rules and regulations of the Hajkhana are being formulated.
The information was given on Tuesday in a meeting organized by a joint venture of GIZ and a one-year work plan by the German based development organization GIZ.
The meeting was held at the head office of the ACC chairman Iqbal Mahmud. It has been reported that separate Hajatakhana is being built for women and male accused. Already, the 20-member armed unit has joined the ACC. There will be no help from any police station to keep the accused in custody and keep them in custody.
In the meeting, the chairman of the ACC said, “The actions of the criminals, the strategy of the commission will be changed with the changes in the strategy.” Through the work, the image of the organization should be highlighted.
Commissioner said. Nasir Uddin Ahmed said, “The commission wants to complete all the activities within the timeframe.”
GIZ Consultant praised the progress of the implementation of the Action Plan of the Oregon Commission. He mentioned the formation of ACC’s own armed unit as an unprecedented achievement.
ACC Director General (Administration) Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said that the construction work of ACC’s own jail building is almost complete.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner AFM Aminul Islam, Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin, Director General. Asaduzzaman, Md. Zafar Iqbal, Md. Atikur Rahman Khan, Md. Prominent among them are Maidul Islam.
