Myanmar’s four ‘spy’ detained

31 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained four ‘spy’ from Naikhongchhari of Bandarban. On Tuesday (September 12th), three people from the Ghumdum area and one on Wednesday (September 13th) were detained from Naikhongchhari Sadar. They are all residents of Amatli in Fakirbazar, Maungdaw city of Maungdaw.

The arrestees are Anwar Hossain, 40, son of Abdur Shukkur, Jafar Alam, 45, son of late Nazir Ahmad and son of Nure Alam. Ajmal Hossain (40) and son of Yusuf Ali Kalu Mia (60) Locals said on Tuesday three people from the Ghumdhum border and a suspect in the suspicious movement around the number 48 pillar of Phultoli Dhekubuniya border on the Naikhongchari border detained one of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). They used to trace the information of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) inside Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) 31 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Anwarul Azim said, “Those four Rohingya citizens used to work as a spy for Myanmar, evidence was found in initial interrogation. Presently they have been sent to Bandarban on Wednesday (September 13th) for further interrogation.
