The six victims of the Kanaighat hill collapse were buried at a local graveyard on Wednesday.
A namaz-e-janaza was held at a field adjacent to Mulaguchh Haris Chowdhury Academy before their burial.
Former Member of Parliament, (Sylhet-5) Principal Maolana Farid Uddin Chowdhury led the namaz-e-janaza.
Earlier their autopsies were conducted at MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital.
On Tuesday morning, six people, including five madrasah students, were killed and another was injured as a portion of hill collapsed on them while they were extracting stones from a hillock in Kanaighat upazila.
The victims are Nahid Ahmed, 13, his brother Shakil Ahmed, 11, sons of Almas Uddin of Kandala village in Kaliprasad union; Maruf Ahmad, 13, son of Masbir Ali of Kandala village; Abdul Kadir, 13, son of Ana Miah Jakir Ahmed, 18, son of Yunus Ali, and Sundar Ali, 35, son of Abdul Bari.
The incident occurred in Banglatila on land owned by the Forest Department around 9am.
The madrasah students were engaged in extracting stones by the Lawachhara River to collect money to purchase their desired products in a makeshift fair which was arranged marking the waz mahfil of a local madrasah.
Abdul Ahad, officer-in-charge of Kanaighat Police Station, said sub-inspector Rajib Mandal filed a case with the police station on the day accusing eight people.
The name of the accused should not be disclosed for the sake of the investigation, OC added.
