The 3-day Nabanana festival begins in Jhenaidah on Wednesday

The 3-day Nabanna festival starts on November 15 in Jhenaidah. The Festival of Bihong Cultural Studies is going to organize this festival.

Bihanga general secretary Shahinur Alam Liton said this at a press conference at Jhenaidah Press Club auditorium on Monday. In his written speech, he said that our rural traditions are losing today in the mechanisms of urban life.

To showcase our original and folk culture to the new generation, the same year as the last year, Banga is going to organize the Naban festival in the central Shaheed Minar in the city of Ajran.

District Awami League general secretary and municipal mayor Alhaj Saidul Karim Mintu will inaugurate the program on November 15 and Deputy Commissioner Zakir Hossain will be present as the chief guest.

The festival includes portrayal competition, colorful rallies, drama, baul music and the songs of Nabanna. Shahinur Alam Liton sought cooperation of all.

Bihanga’s president Rupali Parvin, cultural secretary Nishat Anjum, finance secretary Masud Rana, organizing secretary Tanzul Islam Dinar, executive member Kaniz Tanvi, Tamanna Iqbal Lita, Tamanna Sadia Ani, and Zaid bin Kabir were present at the press conference.
