Needing eight to win in the last over, Afghanistan scored four after they were set 250 to win, finishing on 246-7. 

Bangladesh had made 249-7 in their 50 overs.

 

Mahmudullah Riyad declared man of the match for his crucial 74 runs off 89 balls, taking one wicket and a wonderful catch.

 

Bangladesh’s win means India sailed into the September 28 final in Dubai while Pakistan and Bangladesh meet in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to decide the second finalist. 

The hope of playing final of this tournament turned alive through this victory. Now tigers will face Pakistan on Tuesday (September 25) in the next game.

 

If Bangladesh win against Pakistan they would be the second finalist of the Asia Cup 2018.
