22 shops gutted in Rangamati fire

22 shops gutted in Rangamati fire

Rangamati, Sept 26 : At least 22 shops were gutted as a fire broke out at a local market in Kaukhali area of Sadar upazila early Wednesday.

The fire broke out around 3 am at a shop of Azam Market and spread soon, said Didarul Alam, assistant director Rangamati Fire Service and Civil Defence office.

On information, a firefighting unit rushed in and brought the situation under control.

The burnt shop owners claimed that estimated loss caused by the fire could go up to Tk 3 crore.

However, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
